lyrics

Trains & busses & jets & limos
Pictures painted upon the wall
If I haven’t been round much lately
Leave a message — I will not call

Ask the mailman for my letter
(postage due won’t stop the flood)
Hurricanes & earthquake weather
Shape the party and stir the blood

I’d tell you if you were innocent
I’d tell you everything
I’d smile at your ignorance
I’d climb the G.O.P.

If our party line seems too drastic
Tough times call for leadership
We are all a wee bit fascist
Smiling from our gods pulpit

Armageddon comes tomorrow
televangelistic threat
Send your money — If you must borrow
we’ll add it to the national debt

I’d tell you if you were innocent
I’d tell you everything
I’d smile at your ignorance
I’d climb the G.O.P.

We refuse to take the blame for
car—jack plane crash politics
Unemployment fans the flame
”Our countries burning” read my lips
A thousand points of light could someone
tell me what the hell that means
Billionaires and right wing fascists
crowning George our idiot king!

about

Mutiny in Jonestown Washington

Influenced by classic 70's progressive rock bands like King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator & Genesis - along with late 60's psychedelia from The Beatles, Procol Harum & Pink Floyd (with a little 70's Black Sabbath thrown in for good measure), Mutiny in Jonestown has always sought to take these influences and synthesize them into something new.

The band has released 42 albums since 1987.
