about

The story of the name of this track is amusing. I was working at a high tech company back in 1995 and every Christmas they had a "giving tree" in the lobby. It was a Christmas tree with labels on it that local charities put to let us know what local needy people would like for Christmas but couldn't afford. One day I was looking through the labels deciding which one I would take and buy a present for when I ran across a label that simply said, "Mary wants a cordless drill". I couldn't have made up a better song title if I'd tried.

about

Mutiny in Jonestown Washington

Influenced by classic 70's progressive rock bands like King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator & Genesis - along with late 60's psychedelia from The Beatles, Procol Harum & Pink Floyd (with a little 70's Black Sabbath thrown in for good measure), Mutiny in Jonestown has always sought to take these influences and synthesize them into something new.

The band has released 42 albums since 1987.
