Lyrics from the ee cummings poem, "breathe with me this fear", available on many websites.

Think that I might find me an astronaut and ask him why did he even Try to leave knowing he must return to earth, to silence, to sickness Crack in the glass is only an anecdote Break in the past has only one antidote Snake in the grass is only a memory Think that I might find me a violin and screech and scrape as I practice Learning how to make a soothing sound but always wondering what I Should next do perfecting a different tune but they have all been played before Crack in the glass is only an anecdote Break in the past has only one antidote Snake in the grass is only a memory Think that I might find me a cloudy sky and rest beneath it's shelter Sleeping deep and tripping on platform blues in well worn faded Shoes that march and match a narrow path of ash and sand predicting Waves of sound that hollow the underground to caves and caverns and laughter Crack in the glass is only an anecdote Break in the past has only one antidote Snake in the grass is only a memory

Autumn 05:09
Sun rise in the East, Sun set in the West the North will never know, why South has come out blessed An ancient visitor has yet returned it seems On clouds of starry mist the Autumn reigns supreme The ocean rises up while valleys fill and fass the plains become a swamp, stampeding animals Which way to go away the answer never clear I'll think until the dawn but won't get any nearer I sit, October heat, with flashing lights of black I only try to sleep but always make it back A yellow jumping bird has flashed onto the grass and though it's yesterday and still it's wings will flap The dogs will sleep until another walks on by then chaos breaks and runs as if to slowly fly A ship of crystal cold will one day land again and I can trade my sweat for hooded sweatshirts then
4.
Doctor 02:34
Doctor crawling up my back Doctor with his bed of nails well I always try and sometimes fail Doctor writing me a script Doctor write this one in blood and I can't be sure, here comes the flood no I can't be sure, here comes the flood Doctor send me for a test Doctor send for my result Is it time to join a fitness cult? Doctor are my chances good? Doctor the big picture please You can tell me straight, am I diseased? You can tell me straight, am I deceased?

Can You... 03:00
Can you see as the sun shines Can you see as the rain blinds All you see left of me Can you hear as the clouds shine Can you hear all that is mine Left to be all of me Can you be as the winds blow Can you be lit from below Never words, never heard, never learn Can you glow as the earth cracks Can you glow diamonding back Lost and cold all alone Can you freeze as the heat grows Can you freeze taken by snow Left to ice, dust and rice, dying twice
6.
Join In 03:48
I find my mind looking back attacks the sea of me it looks too good to be for me The noise of boys, the pearls of girls Baby crazy, party artsy too much too touch We climb our time too tall to fall The book of rooks, standing, demanding We hear next year I say we may join in again
7.
As Rudolph sets the pace to win this reindeer race But Santa, fat old git, is having none of it While elves in party hats are getting much too fat Christmas time Christmas rhyme Icycles come and go as snow balls fight below The carols fill the air with singers who don't care Which notes are right or wrong? It's still a Christmas song Well I can hardly tell if I'm just meaning well Christmas time Christmas rhyme It rained on Christmas day no one went out to play The fire log inside made reindeer run and hide But Santa Claus still came with presents just the same and now the cookies gone it's still a Christmas song Christmas time Christmas rhyme
8.
a half breed a full Swede can get on where you're from if you rate above hate then you've passed through green grass but sitting and listening antennae to pick up a song done a new drum with pig soup you regroup Can Rover take over and try once again? to bust cold while not old as short hairs make aware your past speed and misdeeds lead the way past today Can Rover take over and try once again?
9.
I Know It 05:37
And now it seems the time has come again as if the timing never counted in Awake and take the time into your hands As we have watched it roll and pass I know it - I know it - I know it
10.
Clonazepam 05:25
And if you see from ear to ear The sounds are not just yours to hear They talk about me I am sure They speak of psycotropic cures And while you talk they jot it down Eyes looking nervously around They wonder if you wonder still And now prescribe a small white pill I call clonazepam to tell me who I am They call our session to an end Once you are broke you cannot mend A handshake, pats you on the back Give me a call if life turns black I start to leave the lobby waits Be patient, hope it's not too late Like birds of prey they circle high Await their call, begin to cry
11.
Palindrome 04:38
Welcome to the palace of the palindrome Where monitors are molded to the metronome and souls are packed in boxes fill with styrofoam Welcome to the garden of the palindrome Where trees and vines conspire keeping you alone a slight misstep will stumble you to far from home

about

After a 6 year break, Mutiny in Jonestown returned with it's 23rd studio album, the aptly titled, "Necromancy". As with any entity recently returned from the dead, you have to expect they'll be a little shaky at the start and such is the case with this album. It opens with, "Breathe with Me" a song set to an ee cummings poem and the band definitely sounds like it just returned from a long vacation! But all is not lost as the band finds it's way and turns in an album with many of the best hallmarks of Mutiny in Jonestown including mellotron, synth solos and descriptive lyrics.

about

Mutiny in Jonestown Washington

Influenced by classic 70's progressive rock bands like King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator & Genesis - along with late 60's psychedelia from The Beatles, Procol Harum & Pink Floyd (with a little 70's Black Sabbath thrown in for good measure), Mutiny in Jonestown has always sought to take these influences and synthesize them into something new.

The band has released 42 albums since 1987.
