Let the Sun Shine In
01:23
|

Smile awhile! and sit while we explain the ever changing rules
We’ll see to it you never work again!
And then
we’ll bend
the rules to break your back
Attack
the facts
as animals react
Have a seat so I can tell you all about our intellectual drought
temporarily experience pain
Welcome to the game you’ll never work again!
And then
we’ll bend
the rules to break your back
Attack
the facts
as animals react

Bag Lady
02:48
|
|||
When I was 3 I sat on Santa’s knee
He said, “When you grow up, what would you like to be?”
I said, “Let me see...a bag lady
a boxcar queen
hag lady
a gutter thing”
When I was 10 I was the teacher’s friend
He sold, “You’ll grow up to be like other men”
I said, “Let me see...I know what I want to be, a bag lady
a boxcar queen
hag lady
a gutter thing”
The high school kids - they voted me
The one most likely to succeed
I said, “Let me see...a bag lady
a boxcar queen
hag lady
a gutter thing”
The unemployment clerk, he said to me,
“The only job left is to join the Navy”
I said, “Let me see...
I know I want to be : bag lady”

I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do
03:12

Bogart wanted it all (so he took Bacall)
That’s the way it goes at the picture show
Three men took a wife (in real life)
Triotic sets of vows recited now
Let’s swap rings
Let’s swap things
Four live cheap as one
One quarter
Rent for boarders
Four times much as fun
Threw a ton of rice to start their new life
Twenty-Four limousines to clear the scene
Took their honeymoon the fifth of June
Bought a suite instead (two double beds)
Time to head for home (Let’s move to Rome)
We won’t get no peace from the United States police
We’ll sneak through
Customs (will you guys hide in my bag?)
Have no doubt
We’ll let you out
when we get a cab

S is Watching
03:08
|
|||
I will be there, with icy stare
And feel as one, I’ll watch you everywhere
I see you sleep, death’s promise keep
Demise your dream to nightmare scenes
We fight for power, the midnight hour
I’ll end your drought, Black Widow shower
For Satans’ sake, your soul to take
I’ll steal your dreams while you awake

Death Comes Knocking
04:23
|
|||
Six tonight, we will be all alone
No TV set or telephone
When it’s done, when the darkness comes alive
All will see, all will die
Death comes knocking, no more talking, we go walking
Share the wealth, share it ‘till you kill yourself
When you die, leave me slices of your pie
Meet the King, confessing everything
Be his slave stand vigil at his grave
Death comes knocking, no more talking, we go walking
As you rot
Cheer the flock
See the sickness he has brought

Call For Superman
03:34
|
|||
A sight and sound we been around
a lonely screaming in the woods
To pay our debt - win, place, or bet
a lonely shark collecting food
A faded flower marks the hour
when we find the sands have gone
A time to run from what has come
to sink our parts beneath the lawn - right now
Call for Superman (a super band may take your hand
and lead you from deaths’ chosen one to find your safe place in the sun
While loneliness may seem the best
way to get on with what you must
A thousand choices will be voiced
a friend may rise up from the dust
It sometimes seems within a dream
as I was standing all alone
A Kris-Kros girl (a different world)
the seeds of friendship have been sown
Call for Superman (a super band may take your hand
and lead you from deaths’ chosen one to find your safe place in the sun

Lovecraft
06:04
|
|||
Wind swept haunt
wraith-like want
Arkham scene
witch—house dream
We can flow and ebb as the storyteller spins his web
The portal closing fast
escape provision B
my sanity won’t last
After what I’ve seen
Madness Mountain Call
Mud swept Eryx wall
Innsmouth reef
Spawn the demons that torment me
We can run all night from the phosphorescent light
The alabaster bridge
Nathicana seen
The Necronomicon
Calls me to your land of dream
Providence, I say to you don’t raise up what you can’t put down!
Lovecraft
I send nightmare to you
Lovecraft
Allhallows eve for you
Lovecraft
daemon-damned visions too
Lovecraft
Dedicate dreams to you
Lovecraft
Old Miskatonic U
Lovecraft
Leo brings darkness too

The Ghost Within
02:34
|
|||
Sometimes we see ghost leading between lines
And if we lose our heads, lose points for our side
I know what lives inside breaking the straight lines
Playing the joker, jesting the straight side
Glimpses of freedom, freedom of straight lines
Playing annuities just 28 times
Finding that ghost within, learning to be him

A Clear Way
03:09
|
|||
Imagine limitless landscapes abound
salt coated alien barking hell hounds
and in the flash of an eye you are home
retreating light years through sand storms of stone
Imagine powerful scenes from your mind
just close your eyes, you can live them in time
I need no help to escape from what’s real
but I could sure use a hand - help me feel
Here I call to the safe and the warm
To my nature to keep me from harm
Here I call to my child within
Bring me back to what I could have been
Imagine seeing a cloud covered peak
Without the cold numbing pain underneath!

Mermaid's Crimson Bough
06:13
|
|||
1 2 3 4 5 are gone - all you children come along
As I tell a story now - of the Mermaid’s Crimson Bough
Two days out hit stormy seas — sailing on to Martinique
Icy windstorm howling loud - like a waiting funeral shroud
Superstitious sailor cried, “Taste the wind - tonight we die”
Ocean daemons haunting us - take us under dust to dust
Shredded sails, broken mast — end was near I prayed it fast
Ship was sinking, crew was dead - underwater, kept my head
No more air, can’t hold my breath - proudly set to swallow death
Whirlpool from below - rising towards me spinning so
Gasp for death (I was prepared) - expecting sea yet tasting air!
Where and How and What and Why - something came to save my life
When I woke I found myself - perched on underwater shelf
in a cave of riches vast - sunken treasures from the past
“Take these gifts we’ve brought for you” - the mermaid said “Your heart is true”
To the surface we’ll go now - you may ride our Crimson Bough

Bus Stop Romance
03:51
|
|||
“Didn’t we meet at a bus stop in June
you reading Cujo and I reading Dune?”
I marked my page with a fold of the top
you kept on reading (but deep down you stopped)
This marked the end of my day
Just one more stop on the way
Sneaking a glance and a sly backward smile
I saw you notice my noticing eye
You gave a half smile and blushed all around
“Where do we go now?” I wondered aloud
You pulled the cord from above
I fell hopelessly in love (again)
You were so beautiful holding your book
Framed in the photo my memory took
I knew I just had to see you again
You passed a note, Maple Street - Number 10
Then I looked up, you were gone
I heard your voice say, come on
I sat and wondered what action to take
Should I be lonely or risk a mistake
It seemed although you had played hard to get
You wanted company - right now, I bet
I pulled the cord from above
Searching to find my true love
It seemed the moment was right to step forth
Summoned my courage and knocked on your door
I heard commotion and screaming and crying
You had 10 kids and your husband was blind!
Just one more dismal mistake
I chose a new route to take (again)

Mutiny in Jonestown Washington
Influenced by classic 70's progressive rock bands like King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator & Genesis - along with late
60's psychedelia from The Beatles, Procol Harum & Pink Floyd (with a little 70's Black Sabbath thrown in for good measure), Mutiny in Jonestown has always sought to take these influences and synthesize them into something new.
The band has released 42 albums since 1987.
