Pretend the birds don't sing and darkness covers everything the candlelight may call to shapes and shadows on the wall inside is so unkind mistaken eyes are all you find to anchor sanity instead of blind reality The queen has left her throne and now you struggle on alone to blindly find your way or lose another 13 days to time which never waits 'till your prepared to meet your fate the signals dance in light the day will certain break the night The seconds tick away as daydreams mark another day the worn and weary thought we grab for oil behind our plot to make a righteous sound our army's armed to soil the ground with running crimson fools to soak the sand impose our rules

How could I hope to keep my heart inside as I see your Searching eyes drinking in the hurt I hide with shallow lies? Tell me forever We'll be together Say you will never Choose a day to walk away Tell me true if you think you one day see you and me might Walk as one hand in hand but if not please just lie to me Tell me forever We'll be together Say you will never Choose a day to walk away If we can't see each other more than once a week forever It must be enough for me to live with what could never be Tell me forever We'll be together Say you will never Choose a day to walk away

This Time 05:22
Can't see straight Can't fight fate this time Sad to say I feel this way this time the days ahead are filled with dread this time the mirror casts a foolish glance this time her loving voice leaves me no choice this time I have to try to say goodbye this time I'll miss her face I'll die each day this time the minutes pass I'll not turn back this time No deeper cut no matter what this time the wound may close I'll never know this time I don't need her or any cure this time I don't need her I'm now secure this time I don't need her I'm not so sure this time
7.
Holes in my socks like a damp cardboard box stick to the earth but what is it worth? Heart on my sleeve lost in the breeze just one more thing unhappiness brings Soul at my side never could hide cloudy and blown future unknown
8.
They said they would test me by watery pool where drowning proves innocent soul by their rules Perhaps they might search for the devil-bride mark with knives topped with crosses, with candles near dark They sent in a priest to declare me as damned so my blood would not stain them or poison their lands Referred to a book blessed and sent by the pope in the language of latin which none of them spoke Try as they might I resisted through day and through night Broken and done I finally give them what they want The voice of the Goddess, she calls to me now and comforts me silently without a sound When put to the press I surrendered a name I knew to be false but I lied just the same Forsaking my honesty, pushed to the rim of pain without death for imaginary sins And as a reward for my desperate words they promise to strangle me before I burn...
9.
Arianna 06:52
Search and follow dawn with a starlight on Seek a broken dream in a dark moonbeam Blow a candle myth in a crystal ship and wait as dreams return to you Sleep a day away in a sunlit haze Splash a stagnant pond with a rain hat on Listen to the wind Vanishing within as Arianna calls to you Watch a shadow grow to a garden ghost As a Sheltie snores just beyond the door While the autumn leaves ride a warm South breeze and you prepare to walk away From the swaying trees and the punchdrunk bees As they call your name in the flower game So you want to share just how deep you care as you resign to say goodbye Take a swipe at fate as you contemplate... Why things turn out the way they do.
10.
Porcelaine 07:49
Porcelain tears crack porcelain souls at the gates we're poisoning the cold light of autumn chokes in the smoke as time goes by drowning and there's no China doll for you mon amour, mon ami, mon dieu Glass eyes reflect the same empty soul is a life time a waste of fools gold? Worthless miracles worth less unsold pass on our days drowning and there's no China doll for you mon amour, mon ami, mon dieu Sharp broken edges as we grow old seems to me we are drowning and there's no China doll for you mon amour, mon ami, mon dieu...

Mary! 03:41
Some see glowing apparitions Some see earthquake lightning rods Some hear secrets meant for keeping Others, scientific frauds in the skies and on the buildings messages from somewhere far seem to tell a desperate story can you hear her quiet call? Some see pictures in the water Some see faces in the glass Some hear holy words forever Others shrug and let them pass When you joke about the devil do you serve unknowingly? As the days unfold together can you be yourself forever? Mary! Some may trust a scholars wisdom Some believe all that they hear Some search deep within their hearts Others minds are not so clear Some seek holy absolution Some want an excuse for war Some sell empty promised heavens Others seek a golden door Mary! Drown me in a bath at Lourdes Fatima a mile away No matter the explanation She will be there everyday In the desert of Mojave Photograph the setting sun Hope for outlines of the Virgin Look just right, you might see one Mary!
12.
Doctor 02:34
Doctor crawling up my back Doctor with his bed of nails well I always try and sometimes fail Doctor writing me a script Doctor write this one in blood and I can't be sure, here comes the flood no I can't be sure, here comes the flood Doctor send me for a test Doctor send for my result Is it time to join a fitness cult? Doctor are my chances good? Doctor the big picture please You can tell me straight, am I diseased? You can tell me straight, am I deceased?
13.
Clonazepam 05:25
And if you see from ear to ear The sounds are not just yours to hear They talk about me I am sure They speak of psycotropic cures And while you talk they jot it down Eyes looking nervously around They wonder if you wonder still And now prescribe a small white pill I call clonazepam to tell me who I am They call our session to an end Once you are broke you cannot mend A handshake, pats you on the back Give me a call if life turns black I start to leave the lobby waits Be patient, hope it's not too late Like birds of prey they circle high Await their call, begin to cry...
14.
1000 Below 02:45
In the cold sting of the night air Fluorescents give off a sickly glare Bare trees begging for leaves Some stand tall over those that crawl In the frosty breath of a winters night The sky covers a world covered in ice Your eyes burn and the fact that you learn You’d sell your soul to escape from the cold The moon laughs as it watches your plight The stars twinkle and shine with delight The wind sighs “What a sad sight, One more has dropped to the will of the night”

about

Mutiny in Jonestown Washington

Influenced by classic 70's progressive rock bands like King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator & Genesis - along with late 60's psychedelia from The Beatles, Procol Harum & Pink Floyd (with a little 70's Black Sabbath thrown in for good measure), Mutiny in Jonestown has always sought to take these influences and synthesize them into something new.

The band has released 42 albums since 1987.
